Hawaii Here I Go!!

Hello everyone:  as I told you before, my Humans are going on "vacation" to Hawaii and they were going to leave me at home.  But you know, I am so cute and they really don't want to leave me.

So today, they said I can go with them!!! Yeah!!! I ask if I will be going First Class.  But they say No, I will go "Priority Mail" instead.  I don't know if "Priority Mail" is equivalent to First Class.  But I guess I will comply - anything so that I don't have to leave my Humans.

Here, Lil' Madam said I have to get acquainted with my "Priority Mail" travel....can you see, I fit perfectly in my seat!!!

Lil' Madam left my seat out so I can get comfortably with it.  She is really thoughtful.  But getting acquainted is really not necessary as I usually like anything in the shape of a rectangular prism.

It is such a comfortable seat. I think I can sleep the whole way over to Hawaii!!!!

An Important Anouncment

    Tomorrow is a celestial event you do not want to miss. It is called the Transit of Venus. The Transit of Venus is when Venus passes directly in between the Sun and the Earth. Venus is very far away from Earth. So this means that Venus is just a small dot. Astronomers, like me, do not call it a solar eclipse because it does not cover the whole Sun. This amazing sight to see only occurs twice about every hundred years. But you can not always see it from the Earth. If you miss this transit tomorrow, you won't see it again until 105 years later any where on Earth, if anybody lives to be that old. 

    As everybody should know, you should not look at the Sun directly because it will make you go blind. So, instead of blinding my eyes, I bought some spiffy new solar glasses which block out 99.9999% of the Sun's solar rays. Which means, I can look directly at the Sun, without going blind! If you were wondering where I got my spiffy glasses, I got them at the Tech Museum for $2.99. Since they were sooo awesome, I got four of them. Now all my kitty friends can see it too!  Oh, I almost forgot to mention the most important thing, it is from around 3PM - around 8PM. Well, I hope all my followers out there can see the Transit of Venus tomorrow.

I'm a fruit!

For the past few days, you must be wondering what I have been doing. I have now learned that I can jump onto the counter. I have been wondering what was up there. When I jumped up there, I found many interesting things. I found a bowl for fruit, a purple tray, and a thing that spins (Ed. Note: a thing that spins = blender). My favorite was the bowl for fruit.
So, I decided to be a fruit. As you can see...

After my adventure with fruits yesterday, I traveled up to Tahoe and I slept the whole ride. My tummy started to grumble half way through the trip. So I meowed and, amazingly, 'Lil Madam gave me a few nibbles of cat food. When we got to Tahoe, it was surprisingly hot outside, and that meant no snow!

Our condo is soooo nice! In Tahoe I also jumped onto the counter. And guess what I found! I found another fruit platter, but this time, with fruits on it! It was awesome. So I decided to be a fruit. I wasn't sure what kind of fruit, so I was a cattfruit (Ed. Note: cattfruit = grape fruit). 

I really like fruits now, not for eating but for being one. Ma Madam said she is going to the supermarket soon. I wonder if she will buy more fruits for me to look like?

They did it to me AGAIN!!!

Hello there:  I have a grievance to file this evening.   Ma Madam did it to me again.  

This is what happened.  I was minding my own business. Then I hear the familiar click and pop sound which I immediately associated with opening of a can of my wet food.

So I abandoned what I was doing and immediately dashed for Ma Madam figuring that she was preparing my meal for me.  

But what a let down - it was a can alright but not my wet food.  Ma Madam let me sniff the can again so I can be sure it has none of my food in it.  

What a disappointment.  But no worry, I bugged Ma Madam until she gave me some wet food even though I already had my feeding today.  She can't be popping cans if she has no plan to feed me!

And eating always makes me feel sleepy and so I have to go off to my nap after yet another delicious meal.

Howdy all - Today is a really special day.  Do you know about the very rare Annular Solar Eclipse that took place in my neighborhood (western California) just an hour ago now?  It's not a total solar eclipse but about 89%.  Here I was, observing the Solar Eclipse myself to make sure it was real.  Can't trust the Humans.  They may not know what they are talking about.

And here's a picture of the Sun at the peak of the Eclipse - around 6:33pm this evening.  

So now I can certify it - indeed there was a Solar Eclipse today!

Tigger Sad

Hello All:

I am still around.  Don't worry.

I am just a little sad.  Because my Humans told me that in a month they will have to go away for 2 weeks and leave me at home all by myself.  I am quite sad about that.

I love my Humans and don't want them to leave me.  Plus I have no idea how long 2 weeks is - I mean 2 weeks could be a really really long time for a cat - it just sounded awful.

So I am just sitting by myself in my corner to sulk.

But I haven't been just sitting around.  I have been enjoying the warm weathers because I got to have the window in my room open.  Ma Madam said I can get some fresh air but all I really wanted are the little birds chirping outside.  That day, there must have been a whole school of birds - they were so loud and probably didn't know I have my eyes on them.  I could have caught one if I want to. Not too difficult as I have been working on my hunting skills.  But Ma Madam said be nice to them and let the little birds alone.

Then, finally, I figured out I can jump onto the "other" counter.  I used to only jump onto the island but now I can jump onto the other side of the counter and check out all the goodies that Ma Madam have been hiding from me.

Meanwhile, I decided to dry myself up a little in the drying tray - I didn't even know Ma Madam has gotten a drying tray just for me all this time!!!!

Ciao and good nite.  I am going back to sulking about my impending isolation.  I feel so lonely already and my Humans are not even gone yet.
